Rochester Admin Message

Thank you for being part of a powerful Agenda Summit on Sunday! We were thrilled to have 250 people attend, including 18 local elected officials. It was the largest event ISAIAH has convened in Rochester. Check out the coverage of the event:
Our draft agenda that was presented on Sunday is attached to this email.
At Sunday's event, we talked about how this agenda is merely words on a page unless we decide to act. Here's how we ask you to take action next:
  • (Instant action) Click here to email your City Councilor asking them to support increased funding for climate & sustainability, to ensure Rochester takes full advantage of the billion-dollar Inflation Reduction Act. Councilors have discussed this but have not yet made a commitment--they need to hear that this is important to you!
  • Attend a research visit training to learn how to meet with your representatives about our agenda and build a focused local issue campaign:
    • Sign up here for City & County Research Visit Training, Wed. 11/8, 6-8pm.
    • Sign up here for City & County Research Visit Training, Mon. 11/27, 6-8pm
  • Sign up here to attend a Get Out the Vote Rally for Rochester Public Schools' referendum election on Sat. 11/4 from 10-10:30am, with a lit drop to follow from 10:30-12:30.
  • Sign up here to attend a Community Listening Session on Accessibility of County Services with Dept. of Human Services and Olmsted County leaders on Thurs. 11/9, 4:30pm.
  • Attend the Statewide Muslim Coalition Agenda Summit on Sat. 11/18, 2-6pm in Bloomington. Contact salahmohamed@isaiahmn.org to sign up.
For our future,
Olivia
